You are invited to visit La Cité des Amours. Your guide will take you through their love story, leading you to discover the Goose Game of love, with its stages, traps, and setbacks. French songs punctuate the narrative : throughout the centuries, love’s challenges have been sung and told—even in their less glorious, more violent, lonelier, more desperate, or most idealistic forms.
Built around the stories of seven romantic profiles across six different journeys, the audience explores a space, attends theatrical scenes, a lecture, and an exhibition on the emergence of intimacy in public space. The experience culminates in a dance floor, with a playlist unknowingly curated by the spectators themselves.
At once reminiscent of American novels that follow the intertwined lives of multiple characters and of role-playing games, La Cité des Amours offers an exploration of the structural and societal dimensions of our love stories.
A multi-sensory experience—blending sound, visual art, and theater—to reflect together on the lives around us and, who knows, perhaps our own.
On a special day in the life of the neighborhood (to be defined), a palpable excitement stirs, bringing private lives to the surface—joys and conflicts, meetings and separations—until, in the end, everyone gathers to share a meal, a dance, or another convivial moment, blurring the lines between fiction and reality, between spectators and performers.
